About the event

On behalf of Ajii and the Mauna House community, we cordially invite you to the joint Yalda Night and Christmas celebration at Mauna House during the winter solstice .

A holiday closely related to the cycle of life is a beautiful reminder that our true nature, our true essence, is nothing but light.

The night of the winter solstice (December 21) is the longest night of the year, after which the days begin to lengthen and the hours of darkness shorten.

Yalda - mely szó szerint születést jelent - éjszakáján ősi perzsa hagyomány megünnepelni a_cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b- 136bad5cf58d_the birth of light, the renewal of the Sun, the victory of light over darkness. According to the tradition, wisdom and truth will then spread over the Earth. The early Christians connected the birth of Jesus with this special night.

Yalda's Night and Christmas are celebrated in a similar way all over the world: family and friends gather, and make the occasion memorable with delicious food, telling stories, and playing music together.

The occasion creates a great opportunity for intimate conversations, laughing, playing music together, creative self-expression and quietness.

The celebration at the Mauna House will be a two-day program. Please arrive on the first day by 6:00 p.m., so that joint preparation, tuning in and the programs can then begin.

To make the evening even more colorful and special, we ask that you bring a delicacy you made to the dinner, or make something here that you would like to share with everyone.
